Master Yan’an is a 34th-generation secular disciple and warrior monk inheritor of Shaolin Temple. He serves as a coach in the International Coaching Department of Songshan Shaolin Temple, holds a Sixth Duan in Chinese martial arts, and is a National First-Class Wushu Coach. He is also the director of the Shaolin Kung Fu Cultural Center (Shanghai) and a cultural exchange ambassador for overseas centers.

He began training at age six and was selected into the Shaolin Warrior Monk reserve team within three years, studying under Grand Master Shi Yanzhuang. In 2009, he became a disciple of Shi Yongxin. As a core member of the Shaolin Warrior Monk team, he has traveled to over 30 countries for performances and cultural exchange, and has taught thousands of students in the United States.
